Which Upcoming Movies in Theaters Are Playing in Chandigarh?

The phrase upcoming movies in theaters can mean films arriving soon as well as newly released movies that have just entered the theatrical lineup. For this Chandigarh guide, the focus is on the five titles highlighted in the current movie carousel and their theatrical availability around October 2026.

The current Chandigarh listings confirm that Drishyam: The Conclusion, The Vvaan, Prem Keetanu and Digger are appearing in local cinema schedules.

Why Is Drishyam: The Conclusion One of the Biggest Movies to Watch?

Among the upcoming movies in theaters being discussed by Chandigarh moviegoers, Drishyam: The Conclusion arrives with perhaps the strongest franchise recognition.

The film brings Ajay Devgn back as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu, Shriya Saran and Jaideep Ahlawat also part of the cast. BookMyShow's Chandigarh listing describes it as a 2-hour-30-minute Hindi drama, mystery and thriller and lists 2D, IMAX 2D, EPIQ and Dolby Cinema formats.

The central appeal is simple: audiences already know the world, characters and secrets, but the conclusion promises another chapter in the long-running suspense story.

At a glance:

• Release date: October 2, 2026
• Language: Hindi
• Runtime: About 2 hours 30 minutes
• Genre: Drama, mystery, thriller
• Lead: Ajay Devgn
• Supporting cast: Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat

For fans who enjoy investigation, family secrets and psychological tension, this is clearly designed as a theatrical franchise experience.

What Makes The Paradise Different From the Other Upcoming Movies in Theaters?

The Paradise moves away from the crime-thriller atmosphere and into a much more intense action-driven world.

Nani leads the film as Jadal, with Raghav Juyal, Kayadu Lohar and Mohan Babu among the principal cast. The film was released in September and is classified as an action, adventure and drama title.

The story follows Jadal and a marginalized community facing a struggle for recognition and citizenship. Mohan Babu plays Shikanja Malik, a threatening antagonist, while the film is directed by Srikanth Odela.

That makes The Paradise a different proposition for audiences searching through upcoming movies in theaters. Instead of relying primarily on mystery, it uses scale, action, conflict and social themes.

What Should Viewers Know?

• Lead actor: Nani
• Director: Srikanth Odela
• Genre: Action, adventure, drama
• Original language: Telugu
• Runtime: Around 2 hours 45 minutes
• Release: September 23, 2026
• Major supporting cast includes Raghav Juyal, Kayadu Lohar and Mohan Babu.

Is The Vvaan - Force of the Forrest a Supernatural Movie?

Yes. The Vvaan - Force of the Forrest is built around fantasy, mystery and supernatural elements, making it particularly interesting for viewers who want something different from conventional Bollywood action.

The film stars Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, with Sunil Grover, Anup Soni, Shweta Tiwari and Maniesh Paul also appearing in the cast. It follows Rishi, who returns to his ancestral village and becomes connected to an old folklore surrounding Vandevi and a forbidden forest.

The movie was released on September 25, 2026, and Chandigarh listings show it in cinemas.

For audiences searching for upcoming movies in theaters with supernatural suspense, this title stands apart because its story combines rural folklore, family connections, belief and supernatural forces.

What Can Audiences Expect From Prem Keetanu?

Not every cinema outing needs explosions, investigations or supernatural suspense. Prem Keetanu provides a softer alternative.

The film combines comedy, drama and romance, with Veer Pahariya, Aparshakti Khurana, Rakesh Bedi and Aafiya Syed among the cast. Current listings place its theatrical release on October 2, 2026.

The story revolves around relationships, friendship, aspirations and the complications of young adulthood. That makes it a natural option for viewers looking for a more relaxed movie experience.

A recent review describes the film as a romantic comedy exploring love, friendship, family and the complications of life.

Quick details:

• Release: October 2, 2026
• Genre: Comedy, drama, romance
• Lead actors: Veer Pahariya and Aafiya Syed
• Also featuring: Aparshakti Khurana and Rakesh Bedi
• Director: Apoorv Singh Karki

Why Is Digger Creating Curiosity Among Hollywood Fans?

Tom Cruise's Digger brings a completely different flavour to the list of upcoming movies in theaters.

Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu, the film stars Cruise alongside Riz Ahmed, John Goodman, Sandra Hüller, Michael Stuhlbarg and Jesse Plemons.

The official synopsis describes a powerful man attempting to prove that he can save humanity from a disaster he himself has unleashed.

Unlike Cruise's familiar franchise action roles, Digger is positioned as a comedy-drama with satire and darker themes. The film was released internationally from September 30 and in major markets on October 2, 2026.

The Chandigarh listing shows Digger in English with 2D, MX4D, ICE and IMAX 2D formats.

Where Can You Watch Upcoming Movies in Theaters in Chandigarh?

Chandigarh has several established cinema options where audiences can check current schedules for these releases.

Some prominent options include:

• PVR Elante Mall Chandigarh
• PVR Centra Chandigarh
• Piccadily Cinema
• PVR City Centre IT PARK Chandigarh
• Cinépolis Jagat
• Wave Cinemas
• Neelam Cinema

The exact movie, format and showtime vary by cinema and date. For example, current PVR Elante listings show multiple screenings of Drishyam: The Conclusion, alongside Prem Keetanu, The Vvaan, Digger and other titles.

PVR Centra's current Chandigarh schedule similarly lists Drishyam: The Conclusion, Prem Keetanu and The Vvaan.

How Should You Choose Between These Movies?

If you are deciding among the upcoming movies in theaters, genre may be the easiest starting point.

This isn't a ranking. Each film targets a different type of cinema audience, so the right choice depends largely on the kind of experience you want from your theatre visit.

Cinema tip: Before leaving for the theatre, check the same-day listing for your preferred cinema because showtimes, formats and availability can change.

What Is a Real-Life Chandigarh Movie Night Like?

Imagine a Saturday evening in Chandigarh. A group of friends wants to catch a film after dinner, while another family is looking for an afternoon show.

Instead of everyone choosing the same genre, the current lineup allows different groups to pick different experiences. A thriller fan can look at Drishyam: The Conclusion, while someone interested in supernatural stories can explore The Vvaan. A couple may prefer Prem Keetanu, while a Hollywood enthusiast could choose Digger.

That variety is one reason the current upcoming movies in theaters conversation is particularly interesting for Tricity audiences.

What Should You Check Before Booking Upcoming Movies in Theaters?

Before booking tickets, check these practical details:

• Cinema location: Choose a theatre convenient for your group.
• Showtime: Afternoon and evening schedules can differ substantially.
• Language: Confirm whether the screening is Hindi, Telugu or English.
• Format: Some films have IMAX, 4DX, MX4D or other premium options.
• Age rating: Check the certification before booking family tickets.
• Runtime: Longer movies may affect dinner or late-night plans.
• Ticket availability: Popular evening shows can fill faster.
• Parking and travel: Allow extra time during weekends.

These small checks can turn a rushed cinema visit into a much smoother Chandigarh movie-night experience.

Are These Actually Upcoming Movies or Already Released?

This is an important distinction for readers searching upcoming movies in theaters.

Several titles in this list are technically newly released rather than unreleased. Drishyam: The Conclusion, Prem Keetanu and Digger arrived on October 2, while The Vvaan and The Paradise entered theatres earlier. Current Chandigarh cinema listings show some of them as movies currently in cinemas.

So, if by "upcoming" you mean films arriving in the next few weeks, this list should be treated differently from a traditional future-release calendar. Release schedules can also change, and listings are the best way to confirm a particular date.
